CUT STRAPS
- From waste garments

[ ]

The straps cut from preowned clothes is a symbol of colonisation in which plastics taking over the natural habitat. The scraps may seem small and harmless, however, it is one of the biggest sources that caused an imbalanced eco-system.
The technique is applied to new/old garments to create new curves, extra colours, and organic silhouettes; as well as the bulky/stiff textures resulted from the compact layers of straps.

GATHERS

Because of the limited information on pattern making, the traditional patterns have excess fabric on the armpits that created gathers and slight volumes, this part of the process is to modernize the gathered effect without causing any constraining feel to the wearer; moreover, the placement of the gathers is also for the purpose of replacing traditional pleats.
